Gil Rogerson
Hello! My name is Gil and I'm a Lighting and Scenic designer based in Washington, DC. I work mainly in stage plays, although I'm no stranger to a musical. I'm especially good at working in small and found spaces, solving logistical problems, and making the most of any budget. When I'm not designing I'm a skilled carpenter and electrician. I'm an undergraduate student at The George Washington University, where I can regularly be found working on the Corcoran Theatre and Dance program (CTAD) and Student Theatre Council's myriad of productions. This past summer I worked as an Electrics Interns at Shenandoah Summer Musical Theatre.
Coming up this fall I'll be the Student Technical Director for CTAD's production of Twelfth Night and the Lighting Designer for 14th Grade Players' production of She Kills Monsters.
While I'm not in the theatre I'm an amateur photographer, cooking afficionado, and avid cyclist. I love all things outdoors and will never say no to a new adventure.
